'One Voice Literary Agency' provides a platform for writers of any genre, who need their work edited, proof read and advised on.
I worked as a secretary/PA and editor for eight years at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. The company dealt with military strategies worldwide and they produced their own books. I was Personal Assistant to a Colonel and ran an office of five ex-military personnel. I also edited and proof read their main publication, 'The Military Balance', which lists all the armaments of the world's armed forces. I also worked with interns who wrote research papers for the Institute, some of them came from abroad and they needed help writing in English, I found this work very rewarding and inspiring.
Publishers have their own editors and proof readers, but my aim is to inspire, advise and help new authors and those who are already in the process of writing, to reach a high standard of professionalism that will encompass everything a publisher or producer will look for on a first read through and for any other media.
I can help with all aspects of getting a manuscript to a high standard, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters, or that which is written in a non-fiction capacity, this includes help with spelling and grammar, continuity, character and story development if required, screenplay presentation and layout as well as the above and anything else that comes to light during a read through.
I have an excellent understanding of what publishers expect to receive from authors. I can also help authors write synopses of their work, the all important covering letters and advice on submitting manuscripts to publishers.
No matter whether a piece is a full length epic novel, or a short article, high standards of presentation are critical when presenting work to publishers, producers, or any other media. My aim is to help writers bring their work to a high standard, with a friendly, respectful and professional approach.
"One Voice Literary Agency have been a perfect soundboard for me as a new writer. I commissioned them to edit my TV script and they provided some invaluable feedback, which I would have missed in terms of formatting, consistency, insight and creativity. They are affordable and efficient and will be an essential pit-stop in my future writing endeavours. I highly recommend them" - Phil McNamara.
"Rosalind Winton was a wonderful editor, not only by correcting my manuscript but by also spending time understanding my text, reworking what I was having difficulty getting across and offering up friendly suggestions. It was a wonderful experience and I felt like she was really working with me to reach my end goal. She also kept me accountable, reminding me if I hadn't gotten back re-writes to her in a timely fashion. I can honestly say, that without Rosalind, this book would have never been finished. A huge thanks to her, for believing so strongly in my talent and encouraging me at every step" - Stephanie Herrera
“I have worked with Rosalind for more than 18 months. She has the ability to understand me and the ramblings that I send her! This enables the work that she edits for me to still represent my values and keep my voice, but without errors! I have also run ideas past Rosalind when I have been debating with myself and I value her opinion. She is very easy to approach and talk to; she turns work around quickly and is always professional. I would happily recommend Rosalind and her work." - Chris Gibbs
